Hermus Arbequina
Arbequina grown on the Gediz plain by the nursery that, the company states, first brought the Catalan variety to Türkiye in 2008 and launched the Hermus label in 2017. Picked in early to mid-September — very early — and cold-extracted. The producer describes a striking green, smooth oil: almond, green banana, tomato, apple, artichoke, fresh leaf and grass, with balanced bitterness and a pleasant pungency.

Where it's from
Köprübaşı sits on the Gediz — the ancient Hermus — east of Manisa, inland from the Aegean. It is table-grape and tobacco country; Hermus planted it with foreign oil varieties on a nursery’s instinct rather than a tradition.
