Alfredo Cetrone
The Cetrone family has grown century-old olives at Sonnino since 1860, and grows nothing but Itrana. The groves sit at around five hundred metres between the Monti Lepini and the Circeo National Park; the fruit is picked by hand and milled the same day.

The estate
Roughly a hundred hectares and nearly twenty thousand trees, all Itrana. Picking is by brucatura — stripping the fruit from the branch by hand — and milling is cold, on the same day, at the family’s own mill.
The published range is Novolio, Intenso, Delicato, DOP Colline Pontine, Monocultivar Itrana and a Blend. The label listed in the World’s Best Olive Oils ranking, "In", does not appear among them; Intenso is the likeliest match, but the producer has not confirmed it and neither will we.
