Monini
An Umbrian house founded at Spoleto in 1920 by Zefferino Monini, and by a wide margin the largest company in the top ten of the World’s Best Olive Oils 2025/26. It is a bottler and blender rather than an estate, which makes its fourth place worth a second look.

The estate
Two production plants with a combined capacity of around 30 million litres a year, exporting to some sixty countries. The Coratina olives come from Puglia, where the company runs a plant at Carpino in the heart of the cultivar’s home ground.
Monini also owns the Frantoio del Poggiolo above the Spoleto valley, which works as a mill and a tasting and education centre. In the Monocultivar range each variety is milled separately rather than blended — which is the whole point of the line, and the reason a Coratina from a company this size can hold its own against single estates.
