Oro de Cánava
A cooperative founded at Jimena in 1976 by seventy-five growers, now more than 750 strong, working the Sierra Mágina foothills. It says it was among the first producers in the area to move to early harvesting, and its award record over the last five years is among the best in Jaén.

The estate
The oils are Picual, bottled under DOP Sierra Mágina in four formats — an early-harvest bottling, a standard glass line, PET for everyday use and tins. Fruit is picked green from October and taken straight to the mill; storage is stainless steel at the mill, which also keeps an exhibition room of the cooperative’s awards.
Since 2020 it has taken Jaén Selección four times, the IOC’s Mario Solinas prize three times — first place for intense green fruity in 2023 — and, in 2026, best Picual in the world at the AOVE World Cup and the number one spot in the Iberoleum guide.
