The earliest, unfiltered bottling from the Dafnis brothers’ old Lianolia trees in south-west Corfu — a variety the island mostly sends to bulk, here picked in the first weeks of October and bottled cloudy, hand-numbered, in a run of seven to nine thousand bottles. Fresh-cut grass, rocket and green herbs with light floral hints, balanced bitterness and a persistent peppery finish, robust and complex, by the producer. The phenol figures — 1,316 mg/kg total, oleocanthal 577, oleacein 298 — were analysed by WOCH and are published by the brand’s UK site. Its medal run peaked between 2013 and 2020; the recent record is a Great Taste star in 2026.

Corfu is planted almost entirely to Lianolia, tall old trees once harvested from nets over months; the Governor’s October picking is the opposite of the island habit.
