Biolea — Astrikas Estate
Biolea is the odd one out in Cretan milling: the Dimitriadis family at Astrikas, in the hills above Kolymvari, crush with modernised granite stones and press hydraulically rather than spin a centrifuge. The estate has been certified organic with BioHellas since 1993 and is run today by Chloe Dimitriadis and Michalis Papadakis, the fifth and sixth generations. Alongside the estate Koroneiki it presses whole lemons and bitter oranges with the fruit. It is a visitor estate more than a competition entrant.

The estate
Stone mills and hydraulic presses “enabling cold pressing”, with stainless-steel pressing filters, on the estate itself. The oil carries a PDO (retailers name it Kolymvari), an EU 432/2012 polyphenol health claim and ISO 22000 through TÜV Hellas, all by the producer. Hectares and harvest window are not published on the pages we could reach.
No recent major-competition result was found; the producer shows a Cretan competition badge without year or medal. A retailer prints an NMR figure of 786 mg/kg for one 250 ml lot — retailer-published and lot-specific, so it is not on the oil page.
