Knolive
A sixth-generation family whose olive land at Priego de Córdoba goes back to 1858, trading as Knolive since 2015. Its groves sit at 600 to 800 metres below La Tiñosa, the highest peak in the province, on ground too steep to harvest by machine.

The estate
Ninety-eight hectares across two orchards, about 9,800 trees at roughly a hundred to the hectare, planted to Picual, Picuda and Hojiblanca in roughly equal thirds. Everything is picked by hand because the terrain gives no other option.
Milling is done at night, cold, at the company’s own facility in Priego de Córdoba. Storage is about sixty stainless-steel tanks of 54 tonnes each, held at 15 °C under nitrogen. Total output is around 3.5 million litres a year, of which roughly half a million comes from the family’s own groves and the rest from seventy to eighty local farmers.
