Pamako
Eftychis Androulakis’s label from the Selino district above Sougia and Paliochora, where about 1,200 old Tsounati trees grow at around 650 metres, with some 10,000 Koroneiki lower down near Maleme. The company runs its own extraction facility and the owner picks and presses himself. What sets Pamako apart is paperwork: every harvest gets an NMR phenolic certificate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which the producer publishes in full, and the oil was among the first Greek extra virgins registered as a food supplement.

The estate
Fruit from the old mountain trees ripens in stages and is picked in several passes, according to an Olive Oil Times feature; months are not published. Organic certification (2025 certificate on the producer’s site), an EU health claim since 2013 and a Belgian food-supplement registration in 2019, by the producer.
The 2024 certificate (C2425-00285, 19 November 2024) gives 1,222 mg/kg total phenols with oleocanthal 372, oleacein 262 and oleuropein aglycone 233 mg/kg. Retailers advertise 2,081 mg/kg for another lot; it is not on the certificate, so it is not here. NYIOOC Golds in 2020 and 2022 (the latter for the blend) are reported by Olive Oil Times; the 2025/26 record could not be read from the competition’s site.
