Sabino Leone
A farming family at Canosa di Puglia, at the foot of the Murge, bottling under its own name since about 2010. Its DOP Coratina came first in the World’s Best Olive Oils 2025/26 aggregate ranking, ahead of the field by a hundred points.

The estate
A trade magazine profile puts the holding at roughly 300 hectares, about 150 of them olive groves with some 45,000 trees, planted to Coratina, Peranzana, Frantoio and Carolea. The estate itself publishes neither figure. What it does state is the age of the trees behind its flagship oil: over 220 years.
Six oils are bottled, each from a separate cultivar or selection. Harvest is early and extraction cold at controlled temperature, with a short gap between picking and milling; the oil is filtered. The estate publishes no polyphenol or acidity figures, so the numbers on our oil page come from its US importer.
