Longnan Xiangyu

A company founded in 1997 in Wudu District, Longnan — the warm river valley in southern Gansu that is China’s main olive-growing area. Its Coratina placed eleventh in the World’s Best Olive Oils 2025/26, the only Chinese entry in the top forty.

The estate

The company runs processing plants and a bottling line in Longnan and works through a contract-growing model with local farmers rather than farming a single estate. Its industrial site is designated a National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Base. Coratina is the cultivar we could confirm; grove area, altitude, harvest timing and mill technology are not published anywhere we could reach.

A note on sourcing: the company website would not load for us, and no product data sheet exists in English. Figures circulating in Chinese press about hectares under olives describe the Longnan region as a whole, not this company, so we have left them out rather than repeat them as if they were the estate’s own.
