Yanni’s Olive Grove

Yannis Prodromou and Evi Psounou-Prodromou farm more than 6,000 trees on the Kassandra waterfront at Nea Potidaia and, since 2012, press them for oil at their own plant in Nea Tenedos instead of curing them as table olives — Chondrolia Chalkidikis, Galani and wild Chalkidiki stock grafted with Chondrolia. Harvest is early, mid-September to mid-October, hand-picked. The estate’s oil was used in the MICOIL Alzheimer’s study. Its documentation is strongest for 2015–2019; no result from 2021 onwards was found, and the site was down when checked.
