Corinto

C. R. Corinto GP presses Manaki — the Peloponnese’s mild, aromatic variety — at Lechaio, eight kilometres west of Corinth on the Gulf, from its own trees and from “local cooperating producers”. The mill is the company’s own and certified FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000; harvest runs mid-October to early December. The range is three Manaki oils of rising seriousness and one deliberately bitter early-harvest Koroneiki–Nemoutiana blend. Family name and founding year are not published.

The estate

Lechaio was Corinth’s ancient western harbour; the groves are on the coastal plain behind it. The company cites “our family’s century-long experience with the Manaki variety” and lists six staff, exports to ten countries and a mill with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP certification. Tree count, hectares and the organic certifier are not published.

Harvest is mid-October to early December with cold extraction and no heating, by the producer. Athena’s 2025 register lists the conventional Corinto as Manaki 85% / Koroneiki 15% while the producer says 100% Manaki — possibly a different lot, possibly the organic entry; we print the producer’s statement and note the discrepancy. The chemistry figures on the three Manaki oils come from laboratory reports our partner shop holds, not from a public page.
